    Windhorst & Lowe

BW: Have you watched all of Kyrie's instagram in the last week or so? There was a video on there yesterday. He's in Japan, filming something. He stopped in Seattle before hand & saw his grandmother. Anyway, he put a video on there yesterday, some hanging out in Seattle, some of him commemorating his grandfather & seeing his grandmother, some of it him messing around in Japan, some of him contemplating life at various places in Japan, some of it is him making out with his apparent new girlfriend, some of it is him playing with his daughter & there's this weird overlaying music & voice over. I have no idea what it means. It reeks of someone with too much money & too much time. You hear about teams hiring private eyes & doing private research. We don't need to do that with Kyrie. Blaring red flags with the way this guy is. Bringing him to your team, you're bringing this personality. You went over this in your column.

ZL: He could be a volatile unpredictable personality.

BW: So the Nets must discuss is the downside worth the upside? That's a complicated conversation. The Nets are in position to hedge because Russell is restricted. Free agency we use to think of it about cap space & fit. It's important still but timing is important. Let's look at D'Angelo Russell for a moment. He will either be a RFA or he won't be. Whether he is or not affects a lot of situations. If the Lakers are interested, they would hope Kyrie signs with the Nets Sunday. If Kyrie waits until Tuesday/Wednesday, the Lakers can't proceed. The one thing the Nets have is a built in hedge. They can sit there & deem whether it's worth signing Kyrie while holding rights on D'Angelo. Is taking Kyrie without Durant worth it? It's a complicated situation. They have some young guys they'll have to pay. If the Knicks strike out, they can roll their space over. Nets don't have that luxury. They'll have to pay some young guys coming up. This is the vital free agency for the Nets.

ZL: Knicks thing is interesting. The if they strike out thing is interesting. All their plans are if we don't get one of the top 3-4 guys, we'll do one year deals. I don't think they want to win 17-20 games again. I get that. I don't know what the point of building on one-year deals. If the Knicks do this one-year deal route, they can't sell that. Next year's free agency isn't great. What are you saving your money for?

Kyrie Irving is a dynamic player and sells a lot of jerseys. He makes bad movies too, now. But in the end, how much will you win with him?

If the Nets sign him, they'll be letting another point guard just walk. Less heralded, but really came into his own. But maybe the Nets want to sell tickets and merchandise.

    This is only the beginning.
More and more articles will start coming out about Kyrie's behaviour in Boston. Many journalists saw and knew a lot but they kept their mouth shut to save their Boston sources.
    Now there's no need anymore.

Kyrie might be the most overrated player in the NBA. His legacy is based off one shot in the finals. He was a loser before LeBron saved him and he was a loser after that in Boston.
