Lakers opening up a Max contract slot means they are a THREAT for Jimmy Butler.

They’re +1000 to land Butler. They may go after Kemba. Exciting few days coming up

The bigger concern is them selling out to get Kawhi. That CAN'T happen.

    LeBron + AD + Butler? against CP3 + Harden + Love?

With Walker playing his college ball at UConn, being from New York, and the Celtics prepared to also offer him a maximum-salary contract, I don’t see him picking the Lakers over the Celtics.

Butler is a different story. He likes the idea of living in Los Angeles, would be part of a team built to win now, and can get his max contract. They just became a very real possibility for him.

I think they go after a max pg rather than another wing when they already have bron and kuzma.

I don’t see Kawhi wanting to play in LeBron’s shadow. I think he stays in Toronto, but, if he decides to leave, it’s for the Clippers.

Lakers becoming more of a threat to land Butler is also more of a reason for the 76ers to deal with the Rockets.

The Rockets are a pretty unlucky franchise. Everything always seems to go left even when they do the most work to be successful. Hopefully we start to get lucky for a change.

Lakers can just unload players with no problem to get max space, they don't even know the rules and land AD.

The only thing that makes me feel a slight relief is that none of Lebron, AD, Kuzma or Butler are real 3PT shooters.

Lakers best signing would be Irving, but if he's already locked into the Nets with KD, and Klay is staying, and Kemba is locked on the Celtics, it could very well come down to Butler for the Lakers.

Here's to hoping Kyrie ditches the Nets, or that Kemba ditches the Celtics.

And didn't Cyber call this? Pretty sure he hinted at the Lakers having a big 3 as well. My guess is DLo or Kyrie.

We just have to hope that he wants to be 2nd fiddle to Harden and play for his hometown and not be 3rd fiddle to LeBron and AD.

Butler is not coming to Houston. It will come down to Lakers and Sixers.
