honestly they all kind of looked like morons, but I guess I'd go along with the assessment that Gabbard did okay. I think de Blasio is an absolute blowhard. He can't drop out fast enough
positive review for Gabbard: That Gabbard was willing to duck a softball, red meat question about raising wages for women to focus on America's war-making abroad was nonetheless a refreshing moment amidst the otherwise dreary, shockingly left-wing rhetoric from the rest of the Democratic field on stage tonight. https://reason.com/2019/06/26/tulsi-gabbard-wrecks-dems-with-powerful-anti-war/
No surprises. The debate did what it was designed to do; start thinning the herd. Warren, Booker, Beto, and Klobuchar move on.
I’m a Beto guy but the debate stage (quick punches) is not his best forum. I thought he didn’t help himself tonight. Delaney also struck me as a pretty weak candidate. Nobody in the Republican primaries in 2016 made the case to work with Democrats thinking that would turn out voters. That guy should drop out here soon. The Trumpers here will take this chance to sh$& all over the Dems which is fine... thats all they do anyways so it’s just noise, but the truth is all 10 of these candidates were well prepared and had popular common sense positions. Julian Castro, other than being much shorter than I imagined, really seemed to stick out and over perform. I think he’s clearly looking to try and gain Texan Dem support which I think will become a storyline in 2020. We have two more hurricane seasons before the general election to go through and I think Republicans in Texas don’t realize how big of an issue climate will be with Texas voters in 18 months. I think Castro going at Beto was one of the more interesting things that happened. Warren is great at debating but didn’t really butt in and seemed content to wait her turn. When she gets on stage with Bernie and Biden she can’t get away with that at all. She’ll have to butt in on later debates. A lot of solid candidates and a great contrast to the man baby currently occupying the White House.
Dude, you quoted my post with the answer to your question contained therein. Surely, your astute political analytical skills can tease out the answer for yourself.
Warren, Booker, Castro did well enough. Castro strategy of being the only Texan standing after tonight works.
