Right. We agree on Hardens impact.

My argument was for this quote. Bringing in Zhou and Chriss’ names and saying Harden didn’t make them look good. My point is Harden can make do with pretty random garbage players. A la Joey Dorsey, Tarik Black and T Jones for half a 56 win season.

 

All this noise coming from houston side and none from the 76ers or butler's camp. This just tells me it's not happening.

The more I think about it, this is all smoke. No way we execute this trade as a sign and trade. With Harden Jimmy CP and PJ that’s what? $108 million. Morey isn’t stupid, he sees how important depth was in the league this year. He’s definitely hoping to convince Jimmy to opt in and only give up EG with a promise to sign him next year. And once that fails he’ll move on. Everything else is just typical reporters running away with a headline.

That's great to hear, I've really warmed up to the idea of him being here as a starting four and small ball 5 and I'd take that albatross contract over blowing this team up for Jimmy and being hard-capped. There are potential Iman Shumpert scenarios where we could combine Iman + Nene (I'm sorry I know) + Non guaranteed contracts with a pick or two to get Love.

I mean getting butler is a move but it already means guys like Clark and Hartenstein have to step up as role players. Moving 3 big pieces means someone has to become a starter. MLE isn’t filling that big of a hole, it barely did WITH those guys in tow.
