Jimmy Butler was the most impactful player on the team that came closest to beating the eventual champs. He was toe to toe with Kawhi... so... #gimme-jimmy

When's the last time Morey could execute a 3-team trade? These things have happened too many times where someone just backed out at the last second.

Butler agent still want 5year deal from 76ers.

If 4year, does any team want shumpert 13 million deal.? Help 76ers cap.

If not, has to be capela.

They get a salary relief which is substantial and could increase the role for Tobias Harris if they keep him.

Would have to sign another closer though.

Yup... that’s why it is imperative that Tilman be willing to offer Butler a full max next year and Morey sell Butler on picking up his option as it gives the Rockets a lot of other options to improve the team.

(This is all assuming Butler wants to go to the Rockets)

Def not more often than not. At the very best Embiid and Jimmy were 1A and 1B.

Certainly that's possible, but I fancy that he wants to be the closer in Houston. Harden and Chris have not been able to do this. It's not going to happen without the max that Houston can give him in a sign and trade.

I think it's highly unlikely that Butler will be a Houston Rocket. Houston simply doesn't have the assets to pull this off.

This rhetoric about the Rockets feeling "confident" in their pursuit of Butler is oddly reminiscent of their confidence in chasing CP3 a few years ago. Obviously the odds are still against it, but this feels more similar to that than the failed Bosh, Melo, Durant pursuits of other years.

That'd be crazy though. Crazier things have happened.
