If we we’re discussing potential trades with Philly, can we assume that JB has given us a yes to explore trade options with them?

Maybe it will be Gordon, Rivers, Future 1st Rounders. The rockets could send Capela + D House Jr to Pacers and get back Quinn, and They send Philly mcDemott and wes mathews. That could make up for there loss adding Mathews and MCDemott off the bench. Pacers are high on Capela.

    SO 3 TEAM,

Pacers get : Clint Capela, D.House jr. and 1st round pick from Philly
Rockets get Jimmy Butler, Kyle Quinn
Philly gets : Eric Gordon,Austin Rivers, Wes Mathews, McDemott, and 2 future first 2020,21 from houston.

Lowe: Been told very unlikely he opts in to facilitate a trade. (Chris Paul route)

Is there any chance that Butler would opt-in to his current deal a la CP3? If so, would the scenario I described be possible?

Makes total sense. Why would he risk getting injured? I don't know how Chris Paul took that risk (and he actually ended up injured, but Rockets made good on their promise).

I’m not, I just recognize the impact that adding a bonafide top 15 player and 2-way star like Jimmy Butler can have on a team

EG and Clint combined could never have the impact that Butler had on that Wolves team, and Butler was also the best player on a very talented Philly team during the playoffs, something neither EG or Capela could ever be

when u need Jimmy, he shows up...he’s a dog...he would be an instant fan favorite here

I remember watching Philly-BK game 1 this year, and while everyone on Philly was playing like trash and they were getting booed on their home floor, Butler was BALLIN and doing everything possible to get his team back in the game and get the crowd revved up scoring 23 of his 36 points in the 1st half to keep his team in it...EG ain’t doing that, and neither is Clint...we need guys like Jimmy desperately

Jimmy will show up when Harden is struggling or CP is playing like a 34 yo fading star, u can’t count on EG and certainly not Capela for that

I guess if we give Capela/Gordon to a 3rd team we would recieve something else apart from Butler. I think that's the difficult part to make it work for Houston. It wouldn't be a clean exchange of Capela+Gordon for Butler.

We could only recieve players in their 1st contracts, though.

I need a double like button here but will have to settle for one. [edit] triple like button for the Morey throw in and attention to detail with a laughing bearded one.
