So predictable Fu silver Fu NBA FU voters They give it to Mr. Spin, spin dunk It's more about screwing Harden than awarding the GF.
Man. i know we ALL knew who the f*cking candidate they were gonna choose but still...... as a rockets fan.... still hurts. my bro got robbed AGAIN. after watching harden carry this god damn team all season just makes me sick to my stomach to hear opposing views. f*ck that dumbass award. f*ck anybody who thinks harden doesnt deserve that award again. this $hit rigged like the refs. sorry for my language. i really dont give AF. ive been drinking.
Kawhi shot a midrange jumper over Giannis to beat them at the buzzer in game 7. I saw it with my own eyes
the point differential between first and second is just astounding. harden gets compared to the number player of all time (wilt MF chamberlain) all god damn season and people got him in second place. unreal.
Example #32598 that media who've never played the game do not deserve the right to vote because they clearly have no idea what they're doing. Going to be cute seeing Giannis barely garner a mention in the Player's MVP award.
Hope this makes harden slow down next year. He could go out and put up 40 ppg next year, and they’ll move the goalpost again to not give him mvp again. (You can tell they hated to give it to him last year) The rockets have relied on him way too much over the years to drag the team to the playoffs despite consistent injury ridden rosters. I really want to see harden under 30 ppg and a much lower usage next year so the rest of this team can get used to harden not doing E V E R Y T H I N G for them. Gonna have to live with the bumps and bruises if it makes the team better (less dependent on harden) in the long run.
Wow. Nearly 80% of the voters actually thought Giannis was more important to his team this year. Without Harden, the Rockets likely wouldn't have made the playoffs, much less fight back to almost get the #2 seed. It's mildly comforting to know that every voter had Harden in 1st or 2nd. No idiots giving him 5th place or leaving him off their ballot entirely. Still, this vote reeks of the anti-Harden narrative.
"but Giannis just had a classic MVP resume" WTF does that even mean? His team had a better record? See: Westbrook #1, Harden #2
This award isn’t even worth the pursuit anymore. We’ve seen the best argument to support this idea here on our team.
