This would be ideal, but would require MDA to hold Harden accountable which from the sounds of it, hasn't really happened much.
LOL!!, you nephews want him running around like Klay and Steph but forgetting Harden is a THICC BOI. You ask him to move like that and he'll miss 50 games a year.
step forward 3 to create 4 points play on every possession. refs would have to make a new Harden rule about that later on in the season..
Hit the contested 3 with more accuracy when tired, improve his range, and defending better in space - basically just keep working on the things he has spent the last few years trying to get better at. He doesn't need a new "move" - he can already get a shot when he needs it - he just needs to get even better at the moves he has. I would also like to see him learning a new offensive system so we can have a nice combination of sets and iso ball so we aren't so predictable. What I REALLY want to know is what is D'Antoni's next unstoppable move. It would be cool if we had some motion sets that started off looking like iso sets and vice versa - you know, the types of things good teams normally have. If you can get 4 or 5 easy baskets a game out of those because the defense read the play wrong - that could really help us when playing the smart defensive teams. Iso ball takes advantage of teams without enough good individual defenders on the floor at the same time. It's not a hard "read" for a defense but requires 5 guys with a decent level of individual skill. Golden State, Toronto, and Milwaukee all have that. What you need to add as a team is the ability to make those same defenders also make good reads to test them mentally so you can exploit a defense both mentally AND physically. That also means we need players who can make good off ball reads - something we don't currently have because our offensive players outside of CP and Harden are so one dimensional offensively. That also means CP and Harden need to be able to do it which then means we need a 3rd passer on the floor who can facilitate similar to what Draymond does for GS. Maybe a Horford type... Basically A LOT to work on but I don't know how much of it is really a Harden specific thing unless we want more of this one man show style of play that hasn't got us over the hump yet.
