I definitely don't see him taking less money to win. His last contract was his only real contract and he was under-paid. I just heard some folks talking about he might get 15 million a year. If he could get a 4 year 60 million dollar contract he'd be crazy not to take it. At his age this is likely the last chance he'll have to cash in. If I were him I'd be open to whoever opens their wallets.
It was Bobby Marks who said he's hearing Beverley may get as much as 15 million per year. If you know something Bobby Marks doesn't that's cool.
I could see Bev getting $15M/year on a 2-year deal or $10M/year on a 4-year deal. Can't see him getting $15M/year for 4 years given his age combined with his style of play...
Clippers plan B? BW: Pat Bev is in an interesting situation. Has not made a lot of money in his career. Suns are the team really interested in him. Suns have ~$15M in space. Suns, let's say they fly to Beverley's home on Sunday & he's being offered $15M, who knows how many years. Can he wait for the Clippers to see if they strike out? This is a timing thing. If they don't get Kawhi or whoever, they'll want Beverley back but he can't sit around.
I never understood the need to rush these decisions..even if you sign in a month, you can still look for houses and what not. Matter of fact, they have people for that. Beverley should just wait. If Kawhi comes you definitely want to stick around.
Love Pat, but i'd be more than ok to see the Lakers use 75% of their remaining cap space to sign him. With that said, i think the Mavs are (unfortunately) looking like a great fit for him, hopefully he goes to Chicago but i don't think the Bulls will overpay him...
more teams to want to pay PB $13+ mil per that he's seeking. definitely not. if that number was lower, then it would make sense
Dragic signed a 5-year/$90M deal with Miami & will be making $19M this year(final year). $13Mish, a little overpay (IMO) but ehh ... fine I guess.
I really hope Beverley doesn't go to the Mavs. But if he does, I hope he wrings every last dollar out of them.
