    Wagner was pretty awesome.... until postseason.

    90's playoffs were an utter flop both hitting and pitching.

    Alvarez reminds me so much of this guy... I was born and raised the the SF Bay Area saw him play. Big, easy swing, he would hit huge home runs (they call the bay just beyond right field McCovey Cove for that reason). Also ran pretty well for such a big man (until age and injuries wore him down).

    7 HRs / 20 RBIs in first 14 games
    9 HRs / 25 RBIs in first 18 games

    Jake is quickly becoming expendable when we get healthy.
    I know they aren’t easy plays but those are what offsets his ab’s.
