Y'all aren't going to like this, but I would say the Yankees. Pen is way better, slugging is better. JV and Cole are better than their 1 and 2, but their 3-5 are better than ours because we have less consistency. We do have the advantage on infield defense, and catcher defense.
Fans in LA, Minnesota and New York feel the same way and for good reason. The Dodgers in particular look extremely tough.
What path do we have to “old yeller” Yuli? Bregman has certainly been humbled this year. And for f sake no more massages for Correa
Ok. There is no move the Astros can make even in fantasy land(Mike Trout is given to them for free) that would guarantee we can beat any of those teams. Thats just how baseball works. The Astros have a roster that can hold up against anyone and they will continue to look for ways to improve it. I’m not sure what the argument is.
I'd agree they have the best argument, but I don't think their pen or starters are better than ours. On bullpen: Both teams have 2 elite BP guys. After that, Harris/Rondon are about as good as Britton/Kahnle. After that, its all a crapshoot, though the Astros might have an elite McHugh depending on what they do with him. On starting pitching: Our #3 and #4 in Peacock and Miley are statistically better than the Yankees 2-5 pitchers, though they will be getting Severino back at some point. On offense, the Yankees certainly have more sluggers, but I'd argue the Astros have more complete hitters. When everyone is healthy, the Astros make it hell on opposing lineups through sheer consistency. I think this area is basically a wash.
Yes I am bias, but I have seen more over turned calls when it seems like there is non conclusive evidence and non over turned when their is conclusive evidence. Not that Altuve’s should have been over turned. Might as well be no reply IMO
