Looks like a way less talented Brandon Ingram....on crack. And by that I mean high motor. Never stops moving... just doesn’t look good.

The top 5 available 3 point shooters should be the target with the hope that 2 can stick. Shopping for PGs instead? Hmmmm.

Can shoot well. He is slow. Not worth an exhibit 10 imo.

Not bad for an undrafted FA.

Fairly lame so far but Clemons and Ponds can light it up. Obviously both are undersized but Clemons seems to have good athletic ability and both are crafty. Not sure about their defense but may be a good battle over the summer to see who can possibly be a 3rd string guard/project. Clemons improvement from Junior to Senior year is something I know Morey likes. Both seem to have good stop/start ability and decision making.

Hopefully Morey can get a player with potential at the 4/5 spot w/ some damn length though.

    A couple of quick takes:
    - Aggressive ball handler--attacks the defense
    - Really quick release on his jump shot
    - Opportunistic defender--plays passing lanes and anticipates well
    - Dribbles A LOT
    - Could be our ISO G-Leaguer

Moses brown shoots 35% free throws?

    Dude...

    How?

Ponds looks like a legit player the way he’s moves with handles.

Davis was picked up by the Washington wizards as was his teammate Brooks. Davis is a bit undersized but he can shoot and is a damn good defender

the most important thing about a big is his hands. if he can catch, he can be useful..... capela has great hands and hes smart.... that why his progression was so speedy

    CBS
    Shamorie Ponds | St. John's | Jr. | PG | 6-1 | 180

    Strengths:
Crafty scorer; good ball-handler, and good shooter off the dribble; strong potential as a playmaker and shot creator; active defender with good anticipation; always jumping passing lanes; good vision as a passer

    Weaknesses:
Overconfident shooter; record-scratches possessions with questionable shot selection; can be ball-dominant

    Deeper Dive:
    • Pro comparison: Norris Cole
    • Steal rate of 4.0 percent in conference ranked No. 1 in Big East; rated top-3 in steal rate among Big East players all three seasons at St. John's
    • Two-time All Big East First Team Member

    SHAMORIE PONDS
    PG, St. John’s | Junior
    Height: 6’0” | Weight: 180 | Age: 20
Scouts have been split on Ponds all season: some see upside in his shot-creation skills, while others harp on his underwhelming physical profile and inconsistent play. The New York native has natural ability to create off the dribble and make plays, and has progressed as a passer, but he’s still a shoot-first player at heart who faces a big adjustment at the next level. He needs the ball in his hands, isn’t a terrific team defender, and will have to be able to help run a team more effectively to stick. Ponds’s tendency to freelance with the ball may make or break him.

    ESPN
    Pre-Draft Analysis
Though scouts are skeptical of his size (listed 6-foot-1) and shoot-first style, Ponds' well-rounded game rates well. He projects in the top 25 percent of NBA-bound point guards in seven of the 10 skill-based categories ESPN's Kevin Pelton assess, tied with Williamson for the most strengths of any collegiate prospect.
