Doubtful... Draft is all about the best player available. It's a crapshoot to see if you can find talent. Nobody pegs a pick 22 as a definite rotation player before the season starts - they aren't the guys you 'let someone go because you now have them'. And if you don't do that with pick 22, you don't do it with pick 42, and especially not with guys who didn't even get drafted!! All Morey is doing is shaking the tree to see what might potentially fall out of it. There's a big difference between college ball and the NBA - some kids step up and find their way in NBA systems where they couldn't excel at college. Picking up undrafted guys is a ritual - filter through the crap, see if anything is worthwhile, if not, flush it and start again.
Isn't very quick? Better get some glasses. His first step, hezi, and change of direction are ridiculous. Not a good defender????? Too much daweeeeeeeeeeeeed for you.
I dont know how to break it to you but there arent really many players out of college who can play D at the nba level. Defense in college is non existent. Defense is all the bricks that get shot. I cant even watch regular season college basketball anymore.
