He has tons of post up talent you just don't see it because of Westbrook.

    Would the Thunder trade
    Adams Roberson Grant for Paul?

It totally changes our team's style but i think it's worth the cost.

    Adams Capela
    Tucker
    Grant Roberson
    Gordon Green
    Harden Rivers

    Something like that?

All i know is that Adams wouldn't be getting punk'd by Kevon Looney

    I definitely see it.

Westbrook takes away from a lot of the role players natural instincts and abilities that surround him.

The modern day game has evolved though, if your big men are not versatile enough to guard and score on the perimeter they're basically products of a prehistoric generation. Basically unless you're Embiid or Durant in the post, no one wants you down there and on top of that both those guys can give you perimeter scoring as well as defending.

This is why I believe Capela is still so expendable when it comes to chasing down another star player.

I'd prob take Adam over Capela. It's close but I think Adam is a little better.

He is sacrificing a lot of his stats next to Westbrook.

I just said that in my latest response to cheke64.

That still doesn't make him worth all-star level player money.

    IMO Capela = Adams

They're one and the same, really nice players at a position of luxury getting paid well over what they're overall true value is to the team. Both the Thunder and Rockets need stars at $20+ million salaries, not anchor defensive big men with borderline serviceable low post game.

He's seriously making more money than the Finals MVP.... you can't tell me that's justifiable for what he provides to his team. With or without Westbrook.

I wonder if Adams regrets boxing out for Westbrook rebounds now.

I don't buy this at all. When was the last time you've heard that Sam Presti was planning to do something? While something might leak from another team he is negotiating with, I highly doubt he would have told them they were doing a salary dump.

Thus, this reads exactly like the same types of rumors from last year that speculating on how they would have to stretch Carmelo to get out of the luxury tax because there is no way they would be willing to pay $50M in tax or take on salary in trades. Yet, while they did save some on the tax, they still took on more tax over the course of the season.

So if they are seriously shopping Adams, it seems unlikely that it is a salary dump.

Adams is a superior player to Capela.

I don’t get it. He’s 25 years old (26 next month), he has 2 more years on his contract and is making around the range of the 25% max. There’s nothing specifically terrible about that contract. He’s overpaid, sure, though maybe people would think so less if he was on a team where he didn’t just box out and let his PG get rebounds and therefore had gaudier rebound numbers.

Difference is Westbrick neutered Adams with his triple double hunt.
