Can someone explain what happened to Bradley for 55 games in LAC?? He was not good at all. Traded to Grizzlies and his 3 point % is immediately back up as are most of his other stats?

I like the deal for both teams, but Memphis did well here. Obviously they are not in a championship-winning window as a team currently, so to get some draft picks and cap relief for an aging semi-superstar is a good move. PLUS, it opens the door for Ja Morant, who they'll likely select #2 overall in the upcoming draft, to take over PG duties. Basically, Memphis no longer had use for Conley, and got a nice return coming back for him.

Utah -- definitely improves and will be a tough out in the playoffs. I don't think this vaults them over the Rockets, though.

    GOOD DAY

Upgrade for the Jazz. They really needed another person that can score and create for others.

I feel like Memphis could have gotten more from some other team, for Conley.

Excellent trade for the Jazz, in theory.

Maybe not. Point guards sometimes age well. And you're right: he had a great statistical season, but his usage rate was at an all-time high too.

Over the last five seasons, he's averaged 55 games/season. He's only played an entire season once in 12 years. So you could guess you'll get less than 55 games per season out of him moving forward.

To me, this is Utah saying GSW look weak now and they're going for it next year and the year after. Not sure what Conley will bring in his 15th season. We'll see!

I actually like the deal for Memphis. Crowder and 2 firsts plus they unload a bad contract, nicely done, just wish he was heading East.

Was hoping this wouldn’t happen. Conley has been very good for a long time. As long as he’s available that team just got better.

    My first thought as well
While we're at it, I'd inquire about Kyle Anderson too
Another guy on a great contract (similar to PJ's ... around $9M for 3 more yrs)
Those 2 plus PJ gives us a diverse, tough, DEF-minded 3-man rotation at F next year

This is exactly how I feel. Conley, while a good add, makes them marginally better in my opinion. Lets see how the rest of the roster fills out but with that salary, its going to be tough. Cant say I know all the ins and outs of their cap number though.

A tough out in the playoffs, as usual, but still an out.

Zach Lowe thinks this puts Utah in title contention.
I just don't see it that far.

I don't know if the Jazz are going to be able to contend but this starting 5 is pretty good to me.

    Gobert >/= (?) Capela
    Favors < Tucker
    Ingles < Gordon
    Mitchell < Harden
    Conley >/=/< (?) Paul

Not that overall talent is everything that matters, but i think they're not much worse than us, they're well coached, their homecourt is a factor, they're a well built team...i think they can definitely challenge anyone
