We hadn't been swept on the road all season, or ALL of last season, wow. To the Reds of all teams too.
I know nothing about baseball. I was checking the standings to see how good the Reds are and these dudes are no where near the top of the standings.
If Cleveland is willing to trade Hand, I'd go get him. Make HIM the closer, Osuna/Pressly 7/8, reverse-splitting Harris the "lefty" specialist. IDC about "politics" (as in tenure with the Astros), or what hand they throw with. Just use whoever is best in whatever role the numbers support them.
Well, that sucks. Velocity was fine, but his cutter wasn't cutting today. Both Peraza and Senzel nailed meatball cutters. And what a horrible ****ing job by Brantley.
Osuna was bad, but in his defense he hadn't pitched in a week. Still, those last two pitches were both right down the heart of the plate. What a kick in the nuts kind of series. Not gonna get any easier going to play the Yankees and their lineup in that stadium with three of our "non-ace" pitchers before getting JV in the final game.
I'll also add, he got hit pretty hard by the Brewers' heart of the order last time he pitched. Got lucky with defense, caroms, bounces, and baserunning there to escape unscathed, but that is worth noting.
How are you swept by a sorry arse reds team ! Their rebuilding ! Osuna always makes it interesting! Damn this sucks
He had him nailed if only he made that throw on line. Couldn't tell, but did Senzel advance on Stubbs unbelievably dumb decision to try and flip the ball toward home plate and then Osuna taking his time getting to the ball? Or was he already on his way to second?
