Horford in Dallas allows them to play KP at the 4 to save wear and tear. Horford fits the mold of a Carlisle player.

I personally don't see how it gets done. Is he willing to take less than the full max? I kind of doubt it. Seeing other people get paid him than him is apparently a trigger. A S&T would be extremely complicated to pull off with the cap situation both the Rockets and Philly are in.

Not sure they have enough salary to sign that kinda of player, now i'm doing the math without having the numbers but, with the cap at 108M:

20M Hardaway
10M Lee
10M Powell
20M Porzingis until he resigns
25M Horford

Plus some random players i probably forget...you've probably to add around at least 5/10M in salary so, they would've around 10/15M left to play with.

 

Financially these are the options


Gordon, Tucker, Nene, Hartenstein, and Clark for Butler S&T to a max. Could use a 3rd team.

Capela and Gordon in a 3 team deal works for Butler S&T to the max.

Or Gordon and Nene works out for a Butler OPT in trade (like CP3 did)
