Don't worry, Harden only has a few more good years left in him. We should be back fighting for good draft position in a couple of years. I say you enjoy the ride of being competitive while we can.

I don't necessarily like not drafting people, but I can appreciate being a win now mode considering that Harden is in his prime. If that means swinging draft picks for better talent, I'm all for it, however, I am not for giving away picks to get under the luxury tax.

 

I recall being actually excited about AB0 although nobody knew him back then, just a scrawny kid from Oregon.

 

We'll be watching Iman Shumpert highlights on draft night.

 

If Morey leaves us draft picks for those down years, yeah.

"The tyranny of the or..." I feel like teams can both contend for championships and still use the draft to find possible rotation players. I'm cool with trading draft picks here and there, but this is four years in a row without a first round pick. Feels a bit much.

 

Cmon man.. Morey took the opportunity to extend the window. It made some sense because logically Paul will decline more, which means we need to spend more to field a championship caliber team around Harden & Paul.

 

I missed when we drafted players. I think that’s an element missing from this organization right now. Building young talent.

 

Morey’s sole glory of drafting came right at the start in 2007-08 and since then he’s never believed and or developed a good sense for talent and afterwards developing them. It’s a shame, look at the Raptors and Warriors. Their young guys are part of why they win and we don’t. It’s a shame Morey fails in this regard.
