``` Who's not available? Chris & James. ``` Oh this about to be fun...Nice confirmation that its about...to go...down.
God I hope so. Would suck to give up Gordon or Capela in this scenario though. We are in a tough spot since we can't really afford to lose depth with the limited assets we have. It would have to be Gordon or Capela and it seems Gordon makes the most sense for Philly in this scenario unless a 3rd team is involved. I do believe Horford is a possibility as I don't believe he has "officially" opted out yet. Maybe reports say that but the deadline for opting out is still a week or 2 away I believe. Love that Morey seems pretty confident. Last year didn't have the same kind of focus. He makes it sound like there is one target only similar to how he acted before we traded for CP3. That was obviously cooking for a couple of weeks/days where CP3 made it known that he would leave and wanted to be traded to Houston.
It's either Butler or Horford, who's not a star but eh, he's kinda of a big name still so...i just hope it's Jimmy, we need that caliber of player, i love Horford but he's not a star. But Daryl said "sign & trade" and Horford apparently will opt out to sign a new deal on a team with a much younger core that should have only one reason to resign him -> trade him so...that kinda makes me nervous cause i want it to be Butler, but i can see Daryl saying "Horford is a perfect third star bla bla"...hopefully he said "sign & trade" instead of "opt in trade" cause it's easier to understand.
I don't think Horford alone makes us better and unless Butler was here I wouldn't trade Capela for Horford without a lot of sweetners.
I wouldn't focus too much on the minutiae of the words *sign and trade* and *opt in and trade.* He was probably being more general with his wording. opt-in and trade is a bit more nuanced.
opt in and trade would literally be Jimmy Butler without saying his name. Morey knows he can't do that.
Morey said we don't need good mid range shooters? He set an example with Warriors? Lol. Warriors have a bunch of good mid range shooters.
Agree. As far as the mechanics of it, Horford can really only be had via SnT, as his opt in of $30 million would require us to include Gordon or Tucker with Capela, which I think would be a non-starter. The apron issue probably isn’t that big a deal if you’re sending out Capela & Nene. Butler would probably have to be an opt-in and trade with the promise of a max 5 year deal next offseason. A sign and trade seems unlikely given what the Rockets would have to include to make it work.
and the raptors beat an injury plagued Golden State Warriors team that has dominated the decade with 5-6 all stars...not sure what else is going on here that's new
im thinking butler, horford, g hayward (boston dont need him could be cheap option), kuz, pelicans/atlanta first round picks.
