Basically there are 3 scenarios available: - he signs for the MLE (lol) - we sign him to a max after we open up enough cap space by moving for little to no incoming salary Chris Paul and Capela or Gordon - Sixers agree to trade him here to get something back (Gordon i guess) instead of losing him for nothing in free agency
Thanks for this. Since we know he's not signing for the MLE, option 2/3 are the only real options, and there's almost 0 chance of CP3 moving. So the only likely scenario would involve losing either Gordon or Capela and getting Butler on a max? Is that financially realistic? Even with an owner willing to spend, can three max contracts fit on one team?
Yeah, that is/was always the most realistic scenario, personaly i wouldn't have excluded the third one, but by the last words of Morey it looks like Chris is staying so... Anyway Butler would've to opt in in his last year of the current contract and get traded here so, he wouldn't get his max from the upcoming season but from the 2020/21, literally the same thing Chris did two years ago, leave some money on the table for one year but get more going forward.
Butler would instantly be a fan favorite here. Plays hard and with intensity, still young enough to be effective for many years. Has a good camera personality and keeps it real. He's also a hometown hero player like GG.
Lol Jimmy, i wonder if he's reading this thread. That J'z on his back though...does that mean he'll sign with the Jazz?
ANYONE SEE JIMMY BUTLER TELL HIM TO COME TO HOUSTON. But jimmy also posted an IG post about everyone telling him to come to his team
