I remember reading that Horford was pretty impressed with Morey’s pitch a couple years back. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wants to be here. I can see Morey wanting Jaylen Brown and maybe draft picks. But watching Morey and Ainge out-douche each other over a trade? (Shrug)

EDIT: ALthough if Horford opts out and signs-and-trades for nearer-Capela money, well, I’ll leave that for the capologists and those who understand hard caps and such.

Nah, Horford is better, he gives you what Love gives you on offense but he's also good on defense. He's older, but there's also a chance his contract is going to be much better going forward.

Opt in and trade seems more likely and then next year he would go on a smaller contract. Sign and trades can end up being limiting for a team due to the hard cap that comes along with it.
