I think thats a direct effect of players young enough are already choosing other teams

It's not like Rockets are stopping young players at the door

Horfrod and Hayward for CP3 and Capela?

Does that math work? I think the Rockets would have to include Nene. I have no clue who wins this trade.

Who the hell is Robot Dave? Is someone credible or just another BasketballRehab?

I think in both scenarios we might have him on a solid contract going forward, if he opts out to sign a new deal i'd personally expect something like a 60M x3 year contract at best, if he opts in we might be able to resign him for even less in a year.

The problem is that if he opts out and we get him via sign & trade that will hardcap us, and as much as i like Al, he's not worth that. On the other hand if he opts in we would be forced to move more than just Clint and fillers i think...unless all the minimum/unguaranteed guys we have are enough to match, which might be possible, tbh now i don't know.

Horford would be a perfect fit. Better defender than Capela. Can shoot the 3 and the mid range. Him and Harden pick and pop would be unguardable.

Now...will a trade like this happen? Lmfao. Of course not.

Horford is a good fit but is not enough to put us over the top

Horford is more championship level player than Capela. Extremely high IQ and his game would age well. He can also shoot the 3 and not be a total liability against Draymond. I’d trade CP3 for him in a heartbeat and trade Capela for another SF. Let Rivers man the second unit.

Just looking at fit & need, I’d prefer Horford. Our window is now. BUT as Clutch said, Capela’s value is more than just Horford (accounting for age + salary), so I don’t see how this works unless it’s a larger deal.

Swapping Capela with Horford or LMA makes us 2020 favorites IMO.

Tough decision if true, this would be an all in move considering we'd be the ones taking on a new, multi year deal for an aging center.

41% from 3 and 84% FT from your 5 spot? In this offense? Where do I sign up for that?

Going w/you're 1st line, also not putting stock in said rumor. However it might play out it couldn't be for Capela alone. The deal would have to swell to have any legs and that, alone, would kibosh it, no?

Horford wouldn't fix our rebounding issues, the lobs and the occasional fastbreak points will be gone with him in Clint's place, just some aspects to consider.

But the floor spacing would be much better, and he can create his own shot from multiple spots, can pass...he's a complete two way player. Also, fwiw, he doesn't rely on athleticism so, even at this stage of his career, he might still be able to play at his best for two/three years which is on par with our window.

Horford just turned 33 earlier this month. If the team is in win now mode you could get at least 2 good years out of him. He’s better than a 34 year old Gasol imo. And that’s no slight against Gasol.
