Once the draftees arrive the TC roster will be pretty stacked. Lee, Kessinger, Carrasco, Perez, Brewer, and Barefoot is a great position player group.

Even Biermann may surprise some. A longshot to make the majors, but I think he'll do well in the minors.

Tucker blasted a three-run bomb in the first inning of today’s game. And against a lefty, too! Up to 22 on the year.

Chas McCormick has homered in consecutive games for Round Rock. Josh Rojas hit his first home run in Triple-A; he now has 9 on the year.

Also, Kyle Tucker just homered again.

Tucker is now tied for the minor league home run lead with... Yordan Alvarez.

IF Colton Shaver has been promoted to AA. He had posted a 833 ops and 139 wRC+ in High A.

There has to be a pretty big round of cuts coming. Even if Houston doesn’t sign any of their 8 remaining unsigned underclassmen draftees, there are far too many players for roster spots, no matter how far you stretch inactive/injured lists. There are 27 players currently on the injured/restricted/reassigned lists between the majors and full season ball. There are 49 players who should be slated for Tri-City (the 27 on the current roster plus 22 signed college upper classmen draftees). There are 36 players who should be slated for the GCL (the 17 on the current roster plus 7 signed underclassmen draftees and 12 DSL players who apparently have been promoted stateside). All told, there are 42 extra players if everybody was healthy.

Nice bounce back for Martin. The two runs both came in the fifth, as he was starting to tire and was around 90 or so pitches, gave up a two-out double. Some close pitches that could have gone either way via MiLB.com (for both teams' pitchers, ump seemed to have a small zone). Overall good outing for both Martin and Hartman, nice win. I hope Martin has learned some more and gained confidence. Given that he's a 2017 draftee he really wasn't expected to have been in the Majors yet. Hopefully he does better next call-up.

Needs to learn from jv and Cole. He has enough velo to attack the zone and the changeup is a plus pitch when he can locate. The slider needs to be a little more consistent overall but the ingredients are there. Just needs to make some small adjustments

Agree. Curve is also a plus pitch when he locates it, but the other breaking balls need plenty of work. He was so much fun to watch at A&M, admittedly, that is part of my bias for him, but that aside, it's amazing how fast he flew through the system (even when factoring that he went to college) with (mostly) great performance throughout. Also, his start yesterday means he pitched on both Mother's Day and Father's Day, and got the W in both (although obviously at different levels).

Luis Santana got sent back to XST. After playing in AA, the NYPL should be a breeze.

Where did you see that? He’s still on Corpus’ roster on milb.com.

    That’s awesome for Paulino!

Saw a story on him last year saying he didn’t want to give up,on his dream. Easy to root for a guy like that.

Bielak and Garza looked great in RR tonight.

Ferguson had himself a game. Taylor Jones played 3B and it wasn't a disaster at all for a 6'7 guy, he made the 2 routine plays I saw.

Tucker's swing still looks too long and flat to me. Not sure how it will translate to MLB pitching unless he is the greatest guess hitter ever. He got carved up in the 9th inning with winning run on base against Tacoma's closer.
