I think that Durant to Clippers rumor had already lost its wind before Durant’s re-injury with Durant opting out to go to NY or opting in before signing long term in GS being the front-runners. Kawhi could very well join Clippers, but with what else? Lot of talk about Kyrie to Brooklyn, but I would ask the same “with what else” question about him. Perhaps Kyrie joins Kawhi in L.A?....perhaps Kemba? My guess is Butler remains in Philly. Kawhi remaining in Toronto? Definitely not out of realm of possibility. Could go the Lebron one-year deal route. Not seeing a chair at any of these tables for the Rockets right now. Lateral moves or worse
Yes but Durant probably took for granted he would have one more ring now. He is obsessed with surpassing Lebron. With this new superteam forming who knows if his opinion has changed and wants to join another superstar. Same with Butler. Someone was suggesting trading CP3 for him; that was the discussion you were replying to when you insulted Kuzma (who I agree, can be overrated). CP3 doesn't have much in the tank and will miss a ton of games. We know that. I'm not saying Kuzma is great but he'll be a third year player with room to improve. CP3 will only have room to be cranky, it seems, and creaky.
