Agree. It’s time to start signing some young guys. There are plenty of players that will sign for the MLE that will make this team better
So, the choice for our 6th man is between Austin Rivers and Pat Beverley. Hard choice, Rivers was hitting the 3 lately, but another ISO lover on our bench with Harden being our alpha can be redundant. If Pat can extend himself to defend the 3 as he did agains GSW, maybe. But then again, dont we need size? I guess yesterdays KD injury affecta every team planning.
Cool. Who's going to be the starting/backup point guard when the playoffs role around though? Because you know at least one of him and Paul - if not both - are going to be in a suit when the real season starts.
When McHale was here we were already playing the same way we play today, what changed is basically that Harden takes 3s instead of mid range shots and Capela actually plays pick & roll instead of asking postups like Dwight.
Have more important needs on this team than another injury prone PG whose turning 31. Need a 4 who can create and get stops first of all.

For the most part, Austin Rivers was amazing for us as a 4th guard this year. I wish he would take 2 or 3 million to stick around, but it doesn’t seem likely. I will be bummed to lose him, but we gotta use the MLE to bring in a big/quick/tough forward like JaMychal Green. 4th guard on our roster is a luxury, not a need.
Pat's a good dude and he'd be great for this team, but lately it seems like only a matter of time before he gets hurt. I want him back, but not sure he'll be a dependable cog.
Trade cp3 back to LA for patbev, montrezl, and lou. Trade Capela and EG for another all-star. Sign DJ in the off-season.
