I feel like Kawhi is shielded from alot of criticism because he's not a great playmaker so there's little expectations for him to make plays if not for himself, something Harden and Bron gets killed for. Even today, I see more people blaming Lowry for losing this game cause he is the main playmaker so his mistakes are magnified.
