I thought someone like Prince could be a good fit in Houston. Oh well.

Absolutely fantastic news for the rest of the NBA.

Time to break up the Warriors. Let the Durant to Brooklyn speculations run wild!

The Lakers, Knicks, Nets -- all going to war in free agency... how wonderful!

One of them is going to end up a BIG TIME LOSER.

I hope it's LeHollywood, but watching New York fans suffer some more is also quite delicious!

Hawks need a 3 and a 5, is there a player in top 5 they could trade up for? Just curious.

In early 2010, Morey traded Tracy McGrady and took on the contract of Jared Jeffries, freeing enough cap room for the Knicks to sign two max contracts that summer. For the trouble, he got Jordan Hill, a first-rounder and swap rights on the next year's pick. I think second round picks also.

Interestingly, Mike D'Antoni was coach of the Knicks at the time.

KD and Kawhi in LA would be a problem...Rockets would be behind GS and LAC from the jump

Couldnt believe they could find a team to take crabbe’s contract. By just moving out crabbe is a win to nets already. With Prince at rookie contract in return, that’s icing on the cake.

It would be a way to salvage his reputation OR forever ruin it. If he led them back to relevance it would cement him as an all-time great and perhaps even make people start posing questions like "Durant or LeBron"? However, If the Knicks keep Knicking and effectively turn him into the next Melo due to their inability to build a competitive team that would tarnish the ever living hell out of his legacy. It's kind of amazing to me when you look at the path Carmelo took. When Melo was in Denver and they were competitive year after year he was viewed as a shining star that people mentioned in the same sentences as LeBron; one of the top talents in the NBA. Then he went to NY and his legacy just died. It's actually kind of hard to even remember how he used to be viewed now. Incredibly really.

Thanks for the explanation. My impression of Prince with the limited data that I had was that he's a budding two-way star and I was shocked by this trade. But if he's indeed lazy on defense and a ball hog, then it kinda makes sense.

Stupid move by the Hawks who are probably trying to "coordinate" Trae Young with a guy more his age. It's plain stupid. The grizzlies are about to do the same thing with Mike, which will be a stupid move as well.

Prince is one of the best young players in the league at his position and his only crime is that he is far older than Young, so he has got to go. lol
the nba and their backward ways.
