yep and this is the astros B Lineup also beating the rest of the MLB at the moment trying to give games away and can't lol
So is every other northern state. Im just glad that **** hasnt been an epidemic here in Texas like it is in Ohio, Maine, etc...
Forgot about him. Recent call up from AA to AAA, right? Someone has to be DFA'd to make room for him on the 40, correct? I can name 3 guys who have no place on the 40 but I can see the team hesitating to just release them for nothing.
They had interest in him before he went to Cleveland as well. But once they signed Beltran they no longer had interest. Apparently the Mariners are desperate enough to trade all their free agents that they're willing to eat a lot of the salary. From what I read, they ended up paying for the majority of Jay Bruce's remaining money owed. Think it was $18 mil of 21.5 mil. Would Crane prefer to give up a crappier prospect and take on most of Encarnacion's contract or give up a better prospect to save money?
While the relievers had a case of the chocolate lava cakes on the mound, maybe Justin ate some bad chocolate lava cakes & couldn't continue? @donkeypunch
Must have been a frustrating series for Mariner fans. They outscore us 28-24 for the series and lose 3 of 4, capped off by this ridiculous game.
We're not trading for a 1B when we already are struggling to find places for our elite prospects to play.
That's one of the best parts about the big 3 American sports: winning each game is all that matters. Scoring differential has no official bearing on anything except maybe buried beneath a bunch of other layers in a tiebreaker scenario at the end of a regular season. A win is a win and a loss is a loss, no matter how pretty or ugly they look.
Straw has earned his stay, he is too valuable to send back down. Then you have Kemp who has also shown why he belongs. Let the chips fall where they may for the ones left.
And it would be a mistake not to see what the cost would be. No guarantee our "elite prospects" will be a contributor for a team that's looking to win a WS. Remember how elite Tucker was before his call up? He wasnt ready yet. With the injuries for the past two seasons, depth should be important at hitting the ball.
