Well actually I believe they had lost two in a row after winning 11 in a row so we’ve kept them on the losing streak

Sort of. They won 10 in a row, sweeping 3-game sets against Detroit, Cleveland, and Seattle, and taking the first of three against Anaheim, only to lose the next two. So, combined with our two wins, they went from 10 W in a row to 4 L in a row. Let's make that 5 losses in a row and push these suckers under 500!

ETA: To the guy who said they won "11 in a row" before starting the losing streak, the OAK-DET series was supposed to be 4 games, but one of them was postponed due to weather.

Just like the Red Sox were hot and the Astros took 2 series from them.

No Tuve, no Springer, no Correa, no problem! These AAA wins are extra satisfying and making the long season a bit more fun to watch right now. As good as Chirinos has been playing kinda looking forward to seeing Stubbs tomorrow.

Also the team total was 4 at -110, at those odds I’ll sprinkle a little something regardless of who is playing!

I look forward to seeing him because he is part of the future, I believe. Even if not a full-time catcher, he can become a mainstay in the lineup for years to come. Chirinos has had flashes, but he did have a rough May, though he looks to be snapping out of it. Also, I'd err on the side of caution given his injury history. Anyway look forward to seeing what Stubbs can do with Cole.

JV is such a warhorse. 37 innings in his last 5 starts, 5 runs total allowed.

Geez, you have all these awesome players on this team...and then there's this guy who's another level or two beyond that.

    The outfield defense was greatness.

Yes, I literally love Justin Verlander.

Glad he's here for two season after this one to teach the young pitchers like Whitley and such how to prepare for the big leagues.

Do we have to do this all the time? We are a better team with him

He is but I worry a little bit about it catching up to him. He went through a rough patch where his velocity was down and he was tagged. Tonight he had 120 pitches. No doubt he is a workhorse but Still.

Nolan Ryan had 6 games in 1991 of over 120 pitches going 12-6 with a 2.91 ERA at age 44

I wouldn't mind seeing him get some rest post All-Star break. Hopefully, we can get pitching depth at the trade deadline to allow it.

Nolan Ryan was a physical freak who did things nobody has done in the history of baseball, not really fair to compare anyone to him.

I have lost some regular season interest the last few years(I still watch about 85% of the games).

My most enjoyable moments are watching the young guys play. I am excited for Tucker and Alvarez inevitable promotion in the next month or two.
