Which depth are you talking about?

Now THAT is a load of BS. Lue literally lost a Finals game because he either didn't know he had a timeout or didn't know to call one. He has been heavily criticized for his use of timeouts and his adjustments between games - publicly called out on a few occasions off the top of my head.

Worst coach to ever win a title imo. But as an assistant, he would be one of the best.

I think it's funny that prior to the Diantoni hire, the concern was defense. Now, years later, the CF front page reads: "Wanted: Defense"

We're just on opposite ends of the spectrum on this. IMO the only reason he has a title is a miraculous series by Lebron and an incredible isolation play by Kyrie. Did not do anything different than Blatt, and we all know of at least the few instances of rookie-like mistakes he committed.

If your team is tactically set and has a strong coaching staff and the lead player is going to tell him what he wants, then yes.

If you are thinking Harden needs a coach who can convince him to do things differently, I am really amazed you think that guy is Lue. I literally cannot think of a coach who has shown more willingness to cede power to a star player than Lue. Am I wrong?

    Let's get real.

If MDA gets extension, Lue is not coming.
If Lue signs 4 years contract (does not matter it is 24 or 28 million), MDA has no extension.
You can't have 2 tigers staying at your home.

Lue is not signing 3 years 18 million.

Can Jason Kidd take 2 lead assistant jobs?

That way he can just jump on the first one that frees up.

Assistant coaches can rearrange a 5 guard lineup all they want to, but at some point we are going to need an army of switchable SFs and PFs. That's how you win with Harden.

basically there is not any assistant better than Jeff. MDA is not going to win anything.
    5-8 seed is likely.

It seems that FO is concerned about MDA extension.

You fire all of his assistants and then leak this news because you're hoping he gets pissed and walks.

They didn't fire all of his assistants. They fired the defensive coaches that Mike D'Antoni had no say in hiring to begin with and kept all of the offensive coaches that Mike works closely with.
