Friend of mine just sent me a message that Springer has a grade 2 Hamstring pull with partial tear. If that is the case then how long will he be out?

Any hamstring issue comes with a partial tear doesn’t it? That’s the injury, right?

Exactly. 4 weeks best case more likely 6-8. It sucks but if fate deemed it to occur I’d rather have it now and have him healthy in the second half vs. losing him for the stretch and the play offs

I'm just sad for Springer more than anything. He was well on his way to winning AL MVP this year. That's out of the cards now.

That really sucks. It'll be close to 3 months before he's back out there.

Yea. This blows for him. He was tearing it up. Needs a regular season MVP to go with his World Series mvp

Just playing devils' advocate here. Obviously we never want to see any of our players get hurt, but this may make George a bit more affordable for HOU in the long run. Sucks to see it happen during this crazy run that he's on, but if we can let him rest up while maintaining our lead in the AL West, we'll be just fine. OAK is on an absolute tear (9-1 in last 10), but HOU still has a healthy lead and we have strong enough team to absorb the injury. Getting Springer 100% healthy should be the main focus moving forward...but I'm wondering how hard this injury will hit Springer's pockets come FA, given that he already has a bit of a reputation for being injury prone (fair or not).

    Unfortunately I agree with this.
