Paul for Hayward makes the most sense IMO

Not a fan of starting random trade threads, but this one has to be considered. Especially if Kyrie is on his way out. Hayward's skill set compliments Harden's pretty well imo. Salaries match up well too

    No.

A point guard is significantly more critical to a team than an offensive specialist wing. No matter how much Clutchfans is mad at him.

Paul for Hayward and Baynes. Yes I would think about it.

But it's a bit of a coin flip. Hayward might see a bit of a bump up in his second season after his injury (similar to Paul George). Or not.

At the same time, Paul could show up to next season in far better shape than he did to last season and feel energized. Or not.

I would ask Paul about his summer plans and his plan for the future. Base your decision on that.

But for the millionth time, I don't think the team will consider trading Paul and I think that whole argument with Harden is overblown. I bet they publicly laugh about it very soon.

Ainge is not going to take Chris Paul's contract.
Unless you also send him some picks

I’d be willing to wait and see if Paul’s age decreases. If it doesn’t I’ll trade him.

Multiple first round picks would have to be included for Ainge to even listen to the offer.

Briefly looking at BBRef and Guards and age, 34 seems to be the age where many of them fall off a cliff. Gary Payton's last good year, by WS/48, was when he was 34. John Stockton was very good until he retired, but after 34, his game dropped down a notch. Paul turned 34 this month, and his WS/48 cratered this year, from its. 26-.28 ish normal for the prior 6-7 years or so, to .17 this year. Essentially the same number of games played this year and last, but the per game average dropped.

The trend sucks. I don't see how you can think that the more likely outcome is that he improves next year vs. this one. Even if (hitting my knees and praying) he gets back to last year's level, odds are it'll only be for the 19-20 season. I just don't see it happening. Father Time has his number, I think.

One of the dumbest threads I've ever read.

Hey you how bad CP3 has been? Let's trade him for someone even worse

Bruh first of all I don't care how much you "consider" something you're a nobody and don't have any sources what gives you the right to make a thread when there's a random trade thread already existing? Secondly Hayward has 0 mobility and has been the worst player for the Celtics all season, at least Cp3 has flashes of good games here or there Hayward was consistently bad, lost all mobility and even his confidence. We need a younger trevor Ariza not somebody who is his complete opposite, 0 defense and inefficient offense. Finally it's freaking Danny Ainge. He'll also want 3 picks and the first child of Morey's children as compensation. Every single GM who has done a deal with Ainge ended up getting screwed that's why his only trade partners are stupid GMs like Billy King and the Cavs GM before and they ended up getting fired afterwards.

So what, age is better than injury if you've lost your mobility then you no longer belong on the court. Look at guys like Chandler Parsons or Sam Dekker, you need great lateral quickness to be an SF in the NBA once you lose that it doesn't matter how young you are you are done.
