Well, I started young at 21 to retire young, but yeah, I'm pretty much maxed out at 68k unless the state gives us that 5k raise which will push me into the low-mid 70's. If I coach 2 sports, I can break into the 80's, but I won't go back into coaching.

This is true for most civil servants; at least what I call the "true believers" in government service. We've forgone the bigger bucks of private business for the security/benefits of public service and the satisfaction of doing our civic duty for the country (or city, state, etc.).

67% of the average of my best 5 years. For every extra year of service, that percentage increases a little less than two percentage points. Basically, I'll be getting what Im getting right now with my child support payment, and i am doing well with that budget.

Everything is done here at work. All i need is a final clearance from the principal. Smoothest end of year i've ever had.

LOL! It came in yesterday. I brain farted the order of course. I read it as 1000 feet- 4-4x250 rolls. It's 1000 square feet. 1-4x250 roll. Thats on heavy sumbitch roll. I'll have to premeasure and take the cut pieces up there until the roll gets lighter

Yep finishing 23 today. I too started young so I can effectively retire in 6 but will probably go 10. When I "retired" from coaching a few years back, the extra time was well worth it. More time to be involved with my own kids and their activities. I miss it sometimes but haven't looked back.

Nice work @Falcons Talon . I am definitely envious. I didn't start as young as you and won't be able to retire when I reach 51. I wish I could. Excellent job. I am sure you will enjoy your retirement.
