If a team was willing to trade any combination of players for Paul without Houston attaching picks, you'd be insane not to do that. LOL @ the posters "debating" whether we would accept decent assets in return for Paul. His contract is going to make Ryan Anderson look like a bargain by the time it's all done.

Ridding ourselves of Paul's contract seems a miracle.

Paul would anchor the Suns and mentor their young core players really well. IMO, he is a better fit there than here. Serviceable pieces and a lottery pick is more than fair as a return on him. Harden, DM & Paul knows the Paul as an equal time is over —> Just move forward. The Suns can take on a contract like Paul’s because some of their main talent is on rookie scale and want come off it till after Paul retires. Paul has leadership skills and just seems like s natural fit. Paul has value and can help a really bad team get better.

I love CP if it’s an option I’d rather keep him as well. But it’s a lot closer for me between him and Gordon.

CP next year I think for sure, but the two years after that I may want Gordon.

Gordon extends our window a few years. With CP it’s closing fast.

If I were Memphis I'd jump on this. Send them Mike Conley for the #6, Tyler Johnson, and TJ Warren. Take Ja Morant at #2 and Culver at #6.

    Valanciunas
    Jackson
    TJ Warren
    Culver
    Morant

Then they have Valanciunas, Tyler Johnson's and Chandler Parson's contracts coming off the books next year...totaling $61 million!

    What if Suns say.

We only take Veteran PGs in the 25-30 yr old range.

LOL you're not getting a lottery pick for Paul, and ABSOLUTELY not a lottery pick + useful players. That's a pipe dream.

$17,000,000 is a gross, gross, horrific exaggeration.

    (pause for effect)

    It was $15,000,000.

And it was for one year.

And they realized their mistake after five months and traded him for a cheap, useful young player in Oubre. Hard to tell if PHX was lucky or brilliant (ok, probably not brilliant) but they used their cap space to get a decent young player. Worked out pretty well for them, actually.

And you think this means they'll do HOU a favor and take $120M off your hands?
