She was the new Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. She was wearing the Golden Armor. As the new commander she was writing the book about the previous commanders.

Lost was pretty bad for the final few seasons.

Once it stopped being about the island and time travel was introduced that show immediately went to ****.

This was a book of history of the Kingsguard that the Kingsguard commanders would maintain, which was established back in one of the early seasons. Jamie becomes commander and sees how very little he's accomplished (aside from killing the king) to be put in the book compared to past commanders.

I had a hard time believing that book was still around or that the buildings were in tact before a dragon decided to turn everything to ash. That nitpick on the bottom of the lists though

Epic time travel with infinity stones.

Now that is clear that Benioff and Weiss wanted to have more time for themselves, the Show could have gotten new writers by Season 5 or 6.

There was a chance to extend the series to at least 1 or 2 more seasons.

I felt a little more satisfied with my night when, after switching from this finale over to and watching the "Barry" finale, some of my anger at how GoT ended was released from watching the "Barry" season finale.

One plotline that could of worked with the limited episodes available was to have the Night King win.

Cersei refusing to help causes Night King to win at Winterfell. Then he marches on to King's Landing and takes over the Iron Throne. Game Over.

I would have liked to see the NK go on to KL. At that point, a compromise is reached in which no man will be allowed north of the wall.

Instead of Bran becoming King of the 6 Kingdoms, they should have just declared the Iron Throne done with and all Kingdoms are independent. During the council meeting when they are figuring out who should be King, everyone pulls a Sansa and declares independence with someone stating "Drogon has destroyed the Iron Throne. We will not support rebuilding it. Henceforth no one person will rule over so many peoples and lands. The wheel is finally broken."

It made zero sense for some of the other kingdoms to go along with Bran rather than join Sansa in declaring their Independence too.

I guess the ending could have been even worse. What if Dany didn't burn down the city killing all the people and showed mercy at the bruising of her own ego? Then, showed mercy to Tyrion by letting him off at Jon's request. Arya and Sansa then bend the knee. Dany and Jon end up together ruling the seven kingdoms. And, it's even more of a fairy tale sh_t-show at the end.

The cinematography and score was simply brilliant for season 8. The plot points I didn't mind the writing and the lack of detail for those plot points were of course the worst. The fact that HBO offered D&D more time to get it right and they refused is the most damning thing of all.

    A few things though:

-Maybe Jon didn't confess. We will never know. Drogon was guarding the door and chances are he would not let anyone in (or everyone would be afraid to approach) but he did allow Jon in to see Dany. Greyworm could have known this. When Drogon flew away maybe people saw Dany in his claws and assumed, again Jon because he would be the only one that could get close to Dany. That being said that is a ton of leaps of faith there to make and given Jon's nature is fair easier to conclude he just confessed.
-The meeting of the Lords could have been done so much better. That was a total of what 10 minutes max? That probably should have been a whole episode in its own. They were choosing the next king and barely spent any time discussing it.
-As others mentioned why was dorne submitting to the new King?
-Sansa saying the north needs to be independent again and all. But the new King is a Stark! I get that the future King may not be and thats why its important for the north to be independent again since they knelt in the first place, but then it goes by to why can't Dorne do the same?
-Tyrion and/or Jon should have been killed by Grey Worm with how his character was.
-What was the point of that white horse at the end of episode 5 then?
-Arya becomes a master assassin, Sansa finds her faces in Winterfell but she never uses them again. She just drops out of the sky to kill the Night King.
-Bran - we really know nothing about him or the 3 eyed raven. Its utter BS how much was given to his character and the Night King and how little was ultimately explained.
-Similar to Bran and NK - Jon being a Targ was given so much weight and turns out it was a plot device to just add to Dany's turn to being mad. Even then even if he was just Ned's b*stard pretty much everything could have been the same. She saw the people loved him as a King and declared him king. He would have been a threat regardless if he was a Targ or not.

The list can go on. All of the above could have been explained through more dialogue and extending out the plot. Even the large battles were rushed really fast. The epic battle for humanity I felt none of the desperation or immense odds that it should have been. Why the NK was after Bran/3 eyed Raven. The Kings Landing siege was just literally Drogon ****ing **** up -- that could have been done a lot sooner and quicker when Dany had 3 dragons. So much just poorly done.

I disagree. Battle of the Bastards was hands down beautifully shot and executed well with real battle sequences.

The fact that dany showed up to kings landing to ask for Melisandae back with 100 soldiers after the great war and then fought Cersei and ended up with 10,000 soldiers was very lolololol.

Don't forget that Drogon went on a rampage after Dany died. It seemingly knew that Dany had died not even being there...and it came to see for itself. But, Greyworm and everyone would have heard Drogon going ballistic. Then, Greyworm and company come to see the Iron Throne melted, blood on the ground, and Dany is gone. They would have had a hard time seeing Drogon flying off with Dany in its claw because there was lot of smoke in the air in that shot. It must have been rather obvious and Jon seemed in no shape to deny it. And, he probably did confess as all the evidence was there. It's not in Jon's nature to cover it up. He already couldn't handle what he had done. That must be why he accepted whatever fate was given to him. He just didn't care at that point because he killed the Queen he loved and he's not sure he did the right thing.
