This tweet is annoying and embarrassing. Days after the Rockets lose to Golden State again and fail to achieve their goal in the playoffs, and Morey's bragging about beating them more often than other teams, as if that's a win? And now we're hearing about Bzdelik being fired and MDA possibly being fired, but not a word about Morey's responsibility in all this? I don't want Morey fired -- I think he's a better-than-average, though not great, GM who has both plenty of hits and plenty of misses -- but this tweet is almost enough to make me want to see him fired. The timing, geez.

I love Morey and think he's a top GM but agree with the rest of this post. Really bad look. And imagine how dumb it's going to look if the bucks can beat the warriors. If you want to brag about being the best loser at least wait until the warriors actually win the title.

Except the Cavs would look better because they beat the warriors

Very realistic possibility according to the betting markets. Warriors will be favorites but not by a huge amount

I actually want the Bucks to beat the Warriors so Morey can shut the hell up about we are doing a good job chasing the Warriors.

It’s a response to all the people who think the Rockets way of doing things is ineffective or ****. I don’t love the timing but the criticism of the Rockets post playoffs is embarrassing. Yes it was a disappointment and ultimately a failure but our effort to beat the Warriors has been better than anyone else’s except the Cavs by a wide margin. Yet the Rockets are the only ones that will get media roasted. Morey is standing up for the team and his effort. No problem with that.

Morey has a lot of misses. But he makes calculated and smart decisions and tries to fix mistakes as quickly as possible. There’s nothing inherently stupid about what he does and the Rockets are always competitively in the conversation. He’s inarguably a great GM.

Sad to say even great doesn’t cut it. Let’s wait and see the Buck warriors series. We have been consistently losing to the warriors for so long and it just makes you wonder are we just losing or we are just a loser to the Warriors under the current regime. There is no great or excellent in any competition. If we can’t beat the best, we need to figure the f out soon.

That sounds like a tweet to remind everyone not to fire him, because look at the data. It's a move made by someone who knows he's being discussed but can't do anything about it except clarify the results for the decision maker. I totally get it. But it never works.

It is not just about Warriors. if there were no warriors, other teams that are well built would fill in and win the title. Rockets, Celtics, Raptors are not built for it.

Honestly I'm more pissed off at Bzdelick. The dude saw the team being crushed by the same play over and over and didnt think of anything to stop it. Our offence wasnt the problem. We just had no way to stop draymond and steph doing the same play over and over. Also Im royally pissed at the owner. He knew this team was going to be expensive but did everything he could to go under the tax. Championships take money. Ask the Warriors, Lebron, Cavs, Heat and Lakers. He's going to have to bite the bullet to win a championship. The money will come as soon as we win!

He just signed a 5 year extension a couple months ago for what is rumored to be worth around 40ish million.

Doubt he’s worried about getting fired.

DM has never been a 'quiet' GM and that will most likely be his potential demise. Questionable PR.

I dun know if he is too emotional or just bragging.....some of his tweets are smh material.

Morey's point is valid as a response to people singling out the Rockets as losers because they can't get past the Warriors. It should be read in that context. It's not about celebrating beating the Warriors 5 times but ultimately not advancing past them.

I'd only fault him for not making that more clear, because there are people looking for reasons to hate on the Rockets organization as much as possible.

Some would say Durant getting hurt provided the rockets a similar opportunity
