Sources: Kevin Love has been added on Rockets list

Hey Codman, firstly thanks for all the info that you provide to us on the board! But I do have some concerns as to whether or not JB would want to come here...

I went to high school with JB at Tomball and from what I’ve heard over the years, he’s not too keen on being around here and his “family”. Also, I hear that he’s completely distanced himself from Jordan Leslie and Jordan’s family that basically adopted him when JB was a senior in HS.

Therefore, given these circumstances (amongst others), I find it hard to believe that he’d want to be in H-Town. What do ya think?

 

Apparently CLE is absolutely desperate to move up for RJ Barrett, and would also like to ditch Kevin Love.
Knicks would not want Love, or Capela, so maybe Rockets could try to use EG as part of 3-team deal where we score a second-round pick?

I don't think that makes HOU better, at all. But, it might work. Obviously, CLE and NYK might do the trade without us, but NYK might feel the gap from Barrett to two picks down is immense, as CLE obviously does.

No star is going to what to come here and play in the corner with PJ and the guys. I fully expect Love to end up here.

 

They were getting for firsts anyway so I'm not mad he turned that down. They were getting for first rounders for a disgrutaled player.

 

Knicks think they're getting Kyrie and KD. Barrett's cheaper and a better complement to two ball-dominant guys than EG. Not sure they make that move.

 

So, basically 75M of our cap on Chris Paul and Lowry? I sure hope you're wrong

That was all basically public information when trade talks were going on. And we discussed it here in the Butler thread for days. A few of us told the board that PJ was the deal breaker. While many posters here bloviated that that wasn't the case and we were stupid and didn't know what we were talking about. They erroneously believed we would gladly give up PJ for Butler.

That was never the case. PJ was the deal breaker.

There is nothing much happening until the last Finals game, that is a long time. And then MVP award show and Draft.

Unfortunately I think Dedmon will probably have lots of suitors this summer, who couldn't use a stretch 5? He'll probably command the full non-tax MLE. And if we want to keep Rivers we'll certainly have to cough up our full tax-MLE.

I'm all for the plan of just loading up on shooters though. It's always frustrated me that Morey wants us to shoot 50 3s a game but brings in non shooters like J Smoove, Brewer, Prigioni etc. I think we've been better at it since MDA came and we signed Gordon and Ryno, but I'd love to see our roster with multiple 38%+ shooters (which is obviously easier said than done)

Love is the perfect player and fit we need imo.

Butler would be nice but just isn’t the fit we need.

Love > butler for this team.

 

Gotta send out more salary to make the trade work according to CBA rules. Gordon or a SnT'd Shumpert would do the trick.

 

Yet Terrence Jones got more flak for it.....Luis the great homeless looking man.
