Firing MDA? Yes bc he can’t adjust. Hire a coach bc they’ll shoot a ton more midrange? No. Threes are still significantly more meaningful even when we’re hitting less than a third of them, assuming a 50% fg% from midrange is desired. Hire a coach with an encyclopedic knowledge of offenses and knows how to mix them in when the iso/three ball isn’t working? Yes.
If the Rockets can find a Nick Nurse on the Vipers, and then become a head coach for the Raptors, playing in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Rockets really need an all around offensive and defensive coach, who knows the offense, defense playbook. Zone defense, Man to Man, Half Court Trap, Full Court Press - You know the basic of defense in which Mike DAntoni is still clueless about, the other assistants are idiots, it baffles me that Roy Rogers is so clueless about defense, remember the 11-14 start and Roy Rogers was the defensive coach, the Rockets Coaches seem like Amateurs, one coach is holding a IPad, the trainer Keith Jones will never leave, injuries continue to plague the Rockets. Jeff Bzdelik is the only coach who knows what he is talking about.

Well, how fun is it really to watch the rockets. Pnr was a lot of fun to watch. Then that was negated.
It's not MDA's fault. The showrunners this season totally screwed up his character arc. The Rockets season really went down hill since the plot got ahead of GRRM's books.
So... we're going to fire a coach who wins a ton of regular season games and makes it at least in the 2nd round of the playoffs consistently with a high-octane offense based on a financial trouble... makes sense..
We were 1 game from the finals last season mda is not the problem. The roster is just not good enough to compete with GSW in a 7 game series.
