I'm certainly not going to, nor should anyone be expected to, peruse other threads to see your answer to a question in this one, but

JVG is a good answer. He might well be better suited to coach this team.

I DO think we should all remember that the team should have won it last year, until the NBA intervened. But, even in those lost two games, with all the terrible calls, had the Rockets changed it up a bit, they likely still would have won. Much like late game scenarios in this past series.

 

BUMP!!!!! This should be on the #1 spot everyday until he's gone. Enough is enough.

 

Perhaps Bzdelik was the better of the coaches. When MDA coached without him we were a hot mess out on the court. Bzdelik comes back and we have the best record after the all-star break. MDA wasn’t doing a great job with the Knicks or Lakers either. Still can’t believe he benched double double machine Faried for the whole Warriors series. Amazed we won two games without the revitalized Manimal.

 

Rockets to bring back stubborn mule in 2019-20

The Houston Rockets will bring back Mike D'Antoni as head coach in 19-20 as he enters the final season of a four-year contract.

“Mike will be the coach next year,” Tilman Fertitta said. “He’s not a lame duck to me. That’s just a media term. That’s just a media buzzword.

“Mike is going to be 69 years old (next May) and Mike doesn’t know totally what he wants to do, yet. We’ll sit down with Mike in the next few weeks and talk with him. We’re more concerned with making our team better next year. Mike will be here. I like Mike. I think he’s a very good coach. Players like playing for him. I keep being told, free agents want to know who the owner is and they want to know who the coach is. Mike and I do well together. Hopefully, we’ll continue to win and Mike will be here for a long time.”

Fertitta was also asked if he believed D'Antoni is a championship coach.

“We don’t know. We don’t know if I’m a championship owner."

 

Let's hope we don't have a repeat of the mchale firing debacle .

I don't think mchale was a great coach , but firing him 11 games in and letting JB become the head coach was an awful decision .

If we fire MDA we better give the new coach some time to actually have players practice
