The Rockets will have to deal with Doncic, Zion, and Morant in their division until possibly 2027

What's weak about "They are the better team?" Its factual , the Warriors are better , more talented than the Rockets … and the rest of the league.

Meh, morey’s already thinking past harden’s prime. That’s what good chess players do. If you don’t get ahead of a ship, it drifts a certain way, a mentor told me a few times.

Pelicans could be something if they can persuade Davis to stay. They'd have the core. Other teams in this division may make the playoffs, but nothing special in the next a few years.

Of course they're better. When arguably the best player in the league joins a team that won 73 games without him, a team that came back 3-1 to beat him in the playoffs, that's a weak move.

I'll be surprised if, over time, Zion doesn't suffer recurrent injuries from carrying that much weight.

Divisions are completely irrelevant in the NBA so it really doesn't matter.

All that matters right now is that the Warriors are better than our team.

Neither of those guys mentioned have proven to be better than Harden yet, some may never be, I'm not scared of it until it happens.

    Harden had an amazing playoffs.
He was totally unstoppable during semi-final. Dude is a beast.
His calmness in elimination game was so impressive.
    ...

This is good post you needed.
    Take it.

It may be factually correct. It just promotes a level of finality that I don't agree with. They were the better team, but could we have done enough to be better in this series? Absolutely. The team we lost to was not unbeatable. Further, the second this mentality creeps into a team's thought process, it's over. It's a looser's mentality. (not calling you a looser personally, you know what i mean.)

Harden one of those talents that will play till 40. Also the 2022 draft is a double draft

This division feels like it can be for the taking by the Rockets and Spurs in a couple of years. Doncic has a very limited play style where you have to set a heliocentric offense around him which gives a hard cap on the ceiling of the team as we saw with that style with Harden. Ja just doesn't seem like the type to be the face of a organization that's going to win every year and be in deep playoff runs. Too immature and child like. Zion well he's just unhealthy and will probably never play enough to make the Pelicans a title contender. If he does somehow magically play consistently from here on out then it's the Pelicans division for the taking because they have an actually well built roster around Zion.

Zion & Luka are eating their way out of the league
Ja is going to prison/quitting basketball to be a gangster
Bones in San Antonio is going to suffer a career ending injury in summer league
    Victory is ours!

All of this may be true

But, I'd still trade anyone on rockets for any one of the above. Fat Zion may be the only one I would question
