1 or 50 points it's still a loss. Yeah it was close. We even was leading. But our analytics don't work in under 2 minutes enviroment and that's the difference

The West is has been ruled by the Warriors for 5 years. The Western Conference is 0-14 & looks like 0-15 is in the cards. So call out the whole conference not just Harden and the Rockets Organization.

Blazers may get swept for the 3rd year in a row.

why not just call out the refs?
refs saved them last year in game 7 handing them the title
    this year in game 1

should be silver, instead of the refs. call to attention the root of the problem, not the muscle who carries out orders.

    The difference in what?

Should we shoot 2 pointers so we can get slaughtered like the Blazers? I’m confused. Don’t you want to win?

In many ways, this series is a great tool to back-hand b****slap some of the ignorant arguments on this board.

The Blazers are trotting out a no-defense rebounding machine at C and arguably the best mid range player in the NBA at SG, and I predict that Durant won't be available for another 10 days.

    Let's see how it goes.

Lol there's no consolation prize for doing better against the Warriors than any other team. Why do people always act like that's a big accomplishment on this board? It never resulted in a championship. Champions are remembered. Losers in the conference finals and semifinals aren't. This Rockets team will most likely be remembered as the team who put up some monumental choke jobs in the postseason in crucial moments if anything.

That's why I said I was hoping GSW would sweep the rest of the playoffs. Make the media look like clowns for thinking HOUSTON is the problem when they went 6 straight close games with the best team ever and having the audacity to not win

Being far and away the best competition for arguably the most stacked team of all-time is not an accomplishment, no.

    But....

Being far and away the best competition for arguably the most stacked team of all-time while running with the roster we've had the last two seasons is. The talent-level differential between the two teams is stark as ****. If you're not taking that into consideration, you're not giving this Rockets team enough credit.

GSW can lose an MVP to injury, and it's no problem. They simply go back to playing the way they did before Durant broke the NBA further. You know, that seventy three wins in a regular season style?

They've got two-time All-Nba defender, former All-Star, & Finals MVP, Andre Iguodala, that they can just slide into the starting lineup if they feel it's necessary. If the Rockets lost Harden to injury-- we would most likely not get a single game off of these ****s in the playoffs.

Now imagine if Tucker, Gordon, or Cp3 were unable to go -- the probability of beating this insane warriors team while we are missing only a single role-player is virtually non-existent. Austin Rivers is a monumentally important player for us not to have in game #1. Obviously, the warriors do not have this issue.

So yeah, that's the margin we are dealing with. The worriers could lose both of their MVPS to injury and still have 4 former and current all-stars start for them. The **** is just beyond ridiculous now. I'm 100% sure I'll never be able to forgive Kevin Durant for this nonsense.

This is funny. Nobody said Portland is the model offense. It was about how they closed out a tight game.

You close out games with whatever shot is open- midrange, 3, layup, whatever. That’s the point.

You take highest EFG shots until crunch time then switch to highest FG at that point. You take the shots you are most likely to make.

Had we done that, I think our chances would improve but we would still probably lose like every other year we faced them. GS somehow always finds a way to do just a little more than us. That’s why they have rings and we have division championship banners.

Anyway, carry on pretending that OP said he wants to emulate Portland’s offense. Lol

Gotta be in tight games to close them out
I am sure they will get the next one though . . . .script

Splash Bros hit one contested three after another during crunch time in game 6. No midrange or layup could've matched that. But let's keep pretending that it could have.

Let's be perfectly clear. Close but no cigar players and teams ARE remembered. As close but no cigar.

See: 1990's Jazz, Sonics, Knicks, Suns, Pacers

The Rockets will be remembered as much if not more than all of them. Although the Jazz and Sonics made some Finals. The Rockets are 4/5 in going out to the Warriors. As with all these things, the consolation is "well at least they made it that far!". And that's true. I have a much harder time remembering the 6-11 seeds in the West in the 90s for example.

    But it still sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Issue in g5-6 was rebounding.

We made sloppy decisions to close out

    - failed 3-on-1 due to Green being a dolt
    - Gerald Green in general
    - putting in Capela out of desperation
    - Harden sloppy pass to Klay
    - Harden push off/Draymond flop
    - at least a couple of blown switches on Curry by PJ
    - poor effort by the entire team to box out
    - no effort to run the break since GS was constantly crashing the boards

And we still barely lost. G6 was a failure of excursion, as was g5 4th quarter

You don’t get second chances to have your head in the game

Watching the Blazers is somewhat comforting in the sense that we are clearly the superior team, but that doesn’t help me that much
