    LMAO....
Couldn't have said it any better.

Arrogant Morey really thinks his math will win a championship.

I’ve already said the system needs a tweak in 4th quarters to deviate from the layup and 3’s philosophy, but it is effective in the first 3 quarters. Just players have to play smarter and MDA has to be better with his rotations.

Even then the 4th still came down the Curry and Klay hitting big 3’s and the rockets not.

Nerd style basketball works when you have players that can play in it. GSW and MIL have actually shooters to warrant so many 3s. We need better shooters in the offseason to play it.

competing? at what? they stomped us this year. Clippers gave them run for their money. We almost let utah eliminate us. And better believe Bucks would crush us in finals. Harden couldnt do **** when they zoned in on him. Thats one thing

it's almost a decade now, and we still are always 'significantly less talented'. Let me remind you: Boogie was not playing, Steph played like **** for like 22 quarters. Klay was himself for 2 games. Were we really that much less talented? LeBron cavs would cash in without a doubt

So you saying getting shumpert and giving up a first round pick in June's NBA draft was a waste?

Bucks play moreyball too and they’re the biggest threat to the warriors remaining. Warriors took us seriously because they knew we were their biggest threat.

It’s not that moreyball doesn’t work. It’s because GSW has an extremely stacked roster. They just out-talent us. It’s stupid how broken their roster is. They lose two all star starters and they’re still left with a core that won 73 games just a couple season ago. It’s ludicrous how broken that roster is.

The scheme we run got us to where we were. It didn’t inhibit us but enhanced a lesser roster to compete with the stacked GSW.

Its linked. After bad offense you get fastbreak so its hard to position defensively. After bad defense you go against postioned defense and its harder to score

clippers gave them a run for their money? Lmao

They got blown out most of their losses and needed a historic comeback when the warriors let their foot off the gas by how little they respected them or else they would have lost in 5.

Most of these games in this series were barely won by either team.

Lebron had Kyrie dropping 40 point games and hitting stepback 3’s in Curry’s face. He ain’t doing **** with a washed cp3.

The excuse of 'being significantly less talented' is getting old.

The talent was enough for the regular season.

We have thicc players but not fast players.

    This is true but...
Houston is a city of champions. Moral victories are not accepted here.
The Rockets had enough talent to BEAT the warriors if the team was utilized the right way.
    So coming close means nothing

it was also enough to win 2 games in a row with KD.

if people are going to use the excuse of being able to trot out the likes of cook, jerebko, bell who have barely even played to this point ,amongst their other bench that played as more talented, then the rockets have a serious issue with a fully healthy team. inexcusable

They could've easily been swept, considering how much game 5 was for the taking in the final minutes even with the Warriors half-assing it.

    I feel terrible for Morey.

Most of his coworkers and peers are probably roughly this intelligent about basketball. It must be frustrating as hell spending 90% if his time explaining extremely basic math to someone that barely passed statistics 101.

Yes, we are significantly less talented, and your come back is that the most talented player in the world would have won?

    No **** Sherlock. Good lord.

lmao at people overhyping the Clippers taking GS to 6 games...HOU-GS was far more competitive...GS did not take the Clippers seriously at all...they got mad after that game 5 loss and Klay said they should just blow them out by 30 in game 6 to get the series over with, and they pretty much did just that

lack of defensive rebounding and an inability to get defensive stops along with the p***y play of Clint, washed tendencies of CP3, and MDA being outcoached were the biggest issues to me

the system would’ve won a title last year...it’s good enough to win a title although we should all know by now that Harden plus a bunch of role players will never get it done

Idgaf what system they want to run, as long as there is only 1 star in Houston, there will be no championship...it’s not enough

yeah but those warriors were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than now. Younger Iggy, stacked bench, young Bogut, Steph Klay and Donkey all in their best shape in life. We didnt take any of games without Durant and Boogie. They were running splash brothers with Steph scoreless at halftime. There was point in the game were lineup of Looney Donkey McKinnie Thompson and whatever scrub was running with them was dominating our starting five. This system just doesnt work... and our coach? Wariors made run at the end because they were fresher. You know why? Kerr run his rotations deep enough. MDA just sticked to his 6 guys and thats it.

I don't have a problem with the Rockets system. I just think it needs some tweaks. There is no reason Harden can't pull up for a midrange jumper when he beats his guy off the dribble. He used to do it all the time til D'Antoni got here.

They also need to emphasize running more. Harden far too often walks up the floor and barely gets past the halfcourt line with 16 seconds left on the shotclock. That allows the defense to get set and wastes time where we could be running a play. I get that he conserves energy during games, but getting easy buckets would also allow us to build bigger leads, put teams away earlier, and get Harden that exact same amount of rest, except on the bench in a blowout instead on the court in a more closely contested game.

You’re not saying anything about MDA that I haven’t been saying.

He lost the game by resting Chris Paul for too long when he was actually having his first great game of the playoffs.

Sure, but it's not linked to the extent that offense is a bigger problem than defense. We let them get to the rim uncontested and gave up second chances constantly on half court sets in every game of the series.

Wasnt this board saying Harden is most talented player in the world and right behind MJ on SG all time list?
