It's time for Morey to go. This overrated nerd has underachieved here for almost a decade now. He had all year to construct a team that could beat the Warriors and he failed miserably even with Durant being out. I don't care what Clint Capela's xFIP was last year, he was a horrible signing and this will cripple the franchise for years. And I don't care what P.J. Tucker's wRC+ was last year, this bench was just awful. The window is now shut and it's time to get rid of the nerd who constructed this roster of gutless choking dogs.

dribble out the shot clock and shoot a contested 3.

But don’t you dare shoot an open shot inside the arc

Morey deserves the most blame for our failed season and possibly failed era.

Always talking about how he construct his team to beat the Warriors, and go on to sign scrubs like MCW and Ennis when there are other 3 and D players in the market.

Always talking about adding depth to the team, but ignored the fact that we lack a big backup center (Nene is too old and Faried isn't even a C) who can step in to rebound and score in the paint when Capela is out (or soft).

Always talking about flexibility, but gave that crazily huge contract to Paul, and now we could not afford to sign or trade for better players.

Always talking about analytics, hiring a coach who will gladly use his "shoot threes" offense and "switching" defense, and then every year we just choke because we couldn't make a three down the stretch and refuse to take higher percentage shots.

I used to believe in "in Morey we trust", the Morey who draft great players with his second round picks, make good trades and knows how to manage the cap space.

But his "volume three" and "switching defense" philosophy has failed. Failed badly.

This dude has been great for us, got harden and some nice players to surround him.

But I don’t think he is the GM to get us a championship.

We should move on from him and thank him for what he has done.

Let someone different come in and build off what he has done, and get us over the edge

    It’s time to take approach.

By this measure, which of the other 28 GMs would you prefer?

No don't fire him. He does need an assistant who has basketball experience though. If we can force D'antoni to play with a Defensive coordinator, we definitely should get an assistant GM that has a feel of when the math should do the talking or when the pure basketball insight takes over. It just needs to happen.
The nerd talk and numbers and relentless numbers gets us trades and bargains at a reasonable rate without ruining our future. It however only sees one side of the equation.

Morey needs an experienced basketball mind that knows things beyond the numbers. The psychological part of the game for example cannot be accounted for by numbers

What he's been able to accomplish is pretty unprecedented ….going from a middling team decimated by injuries to its two stars mired in mediocrity because of the former owners unwillingness to tank to the 2nd best team of the era …. its just too bad that the best team is that much better than the rest of the league.

Yeah , he's made some mistakes …. but some of that is on the owners because its quite obvious to anyone who understands the CBA with any sort of clarity that he's been handcuffed by the at the tax line. None of those cost cutting moves have been "Morey Like" , they've been the Anti-Morey.

When he has made mistakes , he usually fixes them ….

It’s one thing if every other team was just winning championships left and right.
    No.
Warriors are making everyone look bad. What other team was that close to beating the warriors two years in a row?

    Espn yesterday
3 best teams are GS, raptors, bucks.
Did not mention any other team.

I’d give morey Grade A if this is a small city Memphis.
If you compare to Lakers, spiurs, mavs, then ......

I think it's not even worth to post in this thread tbh.
