So don't lose then. The Rockets cannot ask for a better situation than this. No, a Game 7 on the road is never fun. But no Boogie AND now no Durant with the Warriors already lacking quality depth and playing their starters heavy minutes? This is literally last year's series flipped around. We were without CP3 after Game 5(not to mention Luc having only one arm) and the Warriors capitalized on our misfortune. It's time for a little payback.
The optimist says this reminds him/her of last year when Chris Paul went out and Warriors won last two games to take the series, except this time the Rockets are in the Warriors' position. The pessimist says this reminds him/her of the first round series against spurs where Kawhi got hurt and the Spurs destroyed Rockets and humiliated Harden along the way.
Yeah, that would greatly impact how the weight is distributed to the foot and impact the lift on his shot... meaning he would have to use more upper body. Could also cause problems with his ankles and achilles. The way opposing teams play durant, he requires a lot of movement and hard cuts.
All the media saying we have no excuse to lose this series now, better not also say we only won because Durant got hurt...But they will
I've read about the basketbal gods, if this is not a clear sign and intervention to put us in a position to win and sort of karma then I don't know what is. Indeed good that he's not that hurt, but will miss these 2 games so perfect for us to take advantage!
I hope the Rockets can take advantage and win, but let’s not act like the Rockets should be favored. The Warriors without Durant are still basically the same team that won 73 games and nearly repeated as champions. This is not like playing the Spurs without Kawhi.
This really shouldn't be what you are worried about or thinking about. When you eat a really good meal or drink an expensive glass or wine, do you immediately think "I'm going to die early from this". Focus on the the fact that the Rockets have a legitimate coin flip chance of winning this series.
nobody thinks the rockets are flat out favored but the odds won't get any better than what it is now. the rockets are a significant favorite at home tomorrow. and sundays game will be close to a 50/50 for the last game. You cant ask for a better opportunity than that. and no, this team is no where near the same team that won 73 games years ago
Well it should........ there is no Cousins and no Durant.... this is a series the Rockets have a legitimate chance to advance.
