Sense of urgency, concentration and effort on defense

I just re-watched the highlights and on almost every play there is at least one guy out of Harden, CP3, Green, Rivers, Gordon, Shumpert and Capela - who just lost their man, just didn't put a hand up, ball watched, didn't switch hard enough, just let them get the rebound etc.

I saw so many blow byes on Harden, Rivers and CP3 too. Just too easy. They should have no excuse they were tired or anything of that nature, though MDA should've rested Harden maybe a bit more, but with the way CP3 and Gordon played it was all on him.

In the end we still did enough to get back in it, but didn't show a sense of urgency throughout significant stretches of the game, - 1st quarter and 4th in particular - which cost us. Too many defensive mistakes, but also lack of concentration and effort throughout significant stretches of the game. Tucker is almost expected to guard two guys, box out, get the steal and or the rebound. Cannot be expected to win like that.

 

Lack of effort and concentration, that Curry one was the worst. Capela was half guarding two guys, Harden was ball watching, CP3 was ball watching and Gordon ran out to Klay / in case we got the rebound.
