Does he think the Warriors are the Lakers....? I’m still confused by his whole reasoning. He thinks the Warriors are a ratings draw?

Last year the Rockets won Game 5 against Utah for D'Antoni's birthday.

This year they need to win Game 5 against GSW for his birthday...

 

Tonight its going to be super toughest game of the series. Legs are going to be even more tired and GS has the home crowd to help energize them. Ken Mauer is a NBA ref and the GS media is already saying how the NBA needs GS to advance for ratings

A few thoughts going in:

• Kerr and Draymond already laid some seeds of physicality from the game 4 post game press conferences. The question will be will this mean the Rockets will be in a lot of early foul trouble or that the Warriors will be able to get away with a lot more physicality than the Rockets will be. I have a feeling that its going to be more the Rockets in foul trouble
• I hope House's foot issue is truly that and he can put in some meaningful minutes tonight. I mean like 9-12 minutes. Hoping that he spent a ton of time watching and realizing what his spots need to be and how he needs to stay disciplined both on offense and defense. I just think the moment and the crowd will be too much for him.
• Rivers has been amazing and going to need his productive play. I feel confident he will not be intimidated by the GS crowd. Shumpert had some really poor defensive moments in game 4 but if he is able to fix those and give like 15-18 minutes that would be ideal and a huge plus
• Capela will have to figure out a way to be elite capela in his minutes on the floor. Maxmize those minutes. Capela needs to have near a double double or a double double in his time on the floor.
• Gordon was off last game from deep but kept attacking the basket. Hoping he has his shot back and continues his steller play. He has always been solid in Oracle
• PJ - nothing - dude is going to bring it lets hope they do not get him with a ton of ticky tack fouls (which I think is going to be GS' strategy)
• Harden - need another 35+ game on good efficiency
• CP3 - He really hasn't been the CP3 of last year - age? injuries? I don't know maybe he is pacing himself but if he is pacing himself he needs to start emptying the chamber starting tonight. There have been flashes in this series but he has to be more aggressive with his shot.
• Hoping the tired legs of GS will continue to be an issue for Klay and Curry shooting. I dont know if they will shoot as bad as they have but the Rockets needs to continue to make them work for their looks.
• The Warriors haven't really blown the Rockets out in the third like they used to. That trend must continue.
• Rockets need to come out strong and have it be close after 1. The two games they lost they were down 9 after one and basically could not climb back out of that hole.
• Finally - I am praying that KD has a mediocre game -- not a bad game -- a mediocre game. Dude has been so amazing this playoffs and if he had a mediocre game in either games 1 or 2 the Rockets win. Not asking for a lot here God - please let him have a mediocre game.

He's been horrendous at the line since he missed out on that bonus. Someone remind him he can still earn an extra mil if the Rockets make it to the WCF.

 

My biggest concern apart from the refs and physicality is that will the Rockets have enough gas after having to come back after being 0-2 down. I do think they will be motivated to win though.

 

If we don’t have the gas for this game we are cooked and wouldn’t be able to make it past the next two rounds. I could see that concern after this series, but I’m not worried about it. Too much adrenaline to be tired.
