I bet on Rockets -1

Siding with Vegas and fading the public is a good idea a lot of times.

 

This probably sounds crazy. In matches I really care about I ALWAYS bet AGAINST my team. I also only bet what I'm comfortable losing. In fact I hope I lose (obvious since I'm betting against my team) because that means my team won! I feel like I bought us a victory and I'm totally cool with that.. money well spent.

The reason I do this is because if* my team loses than I've found that the profits I make from the bet help ease the pain of my team losing a little...

I take those profits and spoil myself which further helps ease the pain. Am I the only one who does this?


Rockets win = I lost a little money, idc wooo Rockets won!!
Rockets lose = This sucks, but I think I'll be ok after drinking margaritas on a beach on vacation that was fully funded by their loss.

 

Landed in Vegas today. I bet GS this morning for that exact reason. Hoping to throw the ticket away....

 

You guys attempting to jinx us to a win are going to jinx us to a loss for sharing what y'all are trying to do. The basketball God's will not be pleased.

looks like we are done.

 

We were -5.5 now trending to -6. That means big bets went to the warriors side to move the spread. Vegas essentially wants us to win or at least lose by less than 6 to make more money generally speaking.

That said, don’t go crazy on this.

 

I never bet against The squad........but I do look at favorable player props againat certain players.....i.e. if GG is starting and having to guard.....Derozan, Ill go and pick Derozan for whatever his point total is set at...but thats just a player pick.

 

I am a Rockets fan who never gives up on his team and always believes they stand a chance. But I don't have a problem betting against Rockets. I basically hedge money with happiness. If Rockets win then I am just happy and don't mind losing money. If Rockets lose (or don't cover) then I am already saddened by their loss so also losing money doesn't go well. But betting against them gives me some consolation in the form of monetary reward.

 

I do same thing did 100 on warriors money line last game. Did 500 on warriors to win series. So win win.

 

Damn this is exactly how I think. It’s a win win situation.
