The Rockets should do like LeBron with the hands behind their backs thing The Rocket put tape over their mouths for the 1st quarter While I understand that people hate complaining these refs are literally costing them Hundreds of thousands of dollars maybe even Millions Rocket River
Win or lose, let's bring it. It would be nice to win the series, but I am equally ok that we don't bow out and bring it to the Fubs and NBA in their face with dignity.
The thing is .. . the next team on the championship round team will reap the benefits of it Warriors WILL NOT win the championship this year That much is clear Rocket River
What the Rockets need to do more than anything is not over compensate. The need to play *their game.* The focus should not be anything else than their gameplan that they believe is most optimal for them to win the game. And adjust slightly as needed with how the game flow is. 1) Play with force & urgency throughout 2) Low turnovers on Rockets end, create turnovers on GSW end. 3) Box out, rebound, and aggressively chase balls. Win the 50/50 rebound battle. 4) Attack EARLY in the shot clock for multiple options. 5) Continue their defense of covering Curry/Thompson and make KD take contested mid-range shots. Harden needs to not get psyched out on the 3pt shot / step back 3pt shot. Just take the shot in the flow, protect yourself and play your game. If I am Harden and I am getting fouled on a drive to the basket (and the foul is not called) I get up quickly and get back on defense. Let MDA do the foul protesting.
I do think we should do it just one time and no more. Just to see if they call it. it will expose them. If they call it, fine. Don't look at them. Don't complain.
By clear message you mean have Nene go in and punch Donkey Green and permanently dislocate his jaw to the point he actually looks less like a Donkey? Sure!
Also let's play butt defense towards Steph. When it comes to legal Butt defense, we have first team NBA in Tucker and Harden.
impossible....nope...not in big games like this.... Im surprised James and DM havent been fined for their comments.
That makes no sense. The refs are not the ones initiating conversations with the players, so why should they or anyone look down on the Rockets for not talking to them The reaction would be just the opposite. Now, instead of everyone thinking the Rockets complain too much, it will be the Warriors that look like big crybabies relative to the Rockets stoic, focused demeanor.
These habits aren't going to change from one game to the next to that extreme. It is what it is at this point, and it very well may cost them this series because GS is just gettign more and more motivated to beat their whiny butts. It's not just about the officials, but also about the implication that GS can't beat Houston without the refs' help. Start building better habits next year and after 82 games it should stick, or not, and just live with the consequences.
I agree to both OP and this. Completely ignore the refs and play how they are calling the game. Force them to call it fairly on both sides without complaining and live with results atleast for Game 2. Let the media, or leak videos to the media by management of all plays called unfairly on both sides.
