No collapse when we got a big lead was pleasing. Didn’t get complacent at all and had a killer instinct . Harden played a perfect floor general game. Paul was good in the second half and Clint destroyed Gobert. House had a crucial cameo effort and Faried was good.Rivers played nice defense on Mitchell as well

Wow, I wasn't even taking into account the Rockets history with the Jazz. I get it.

I love Faried's energy. And House + Rivers have shown signs of being all right.

Yeah, this team is better than last year's. Even w/o Ariza.

You know what Clint can do better than Gobert? RUN!
Watch how many times Clint beats the other C's down the court for easy points.
Clint can hold his own on paint protection.
Wouldn't trade him straight up for Gobert. Has a great rapport with James

Tonight was exactly what you imagine when you build your team around two amazing playmakers.

When CP3 goes off the floor then Harden takes over. When Harden goes off the floor, CP3 takes over.

The opponent comes up with a gameplan to stop Harden, but that plan won't work against CP3.

The best part about tonight was how under control this team was. They pushed the tempo when they needed to. They went early in the shot clock when they needed to. And they slowed the game down when they needed to. Utah didn't have an answer.

Also, I loved the look on everyone's face when the buzzer went off. It's all business with these guys.

I still believe it’s best to catch the Warriors early.

Yes this matchup looks good, still a lot of ball to play.

That was a dominant performance by the Rockets. Jazz will have to play a lot better than that to have a chance in this series. As predicted, Faried and House made a difference. I think they will be a key going forward. Our regulars played great. I wish this was a one-game series so we could just move on.

I spent the last 5 minutes of the game looking up the basket interference, a.k.a. offensive goaltending rule. It's delightfully vague.

RULE NO. 11: Basket Interference – Goaltending:

    Section I—A Player Shall Not:

    b. Touch any ball from within the playing area when it is above the basket ring and within the imaginary cylinder.

Nobody on the internet seems to know what that really means. The most read-as-written interpretation is probably "any part of the ball is within the imaginary cylinder," but if refs actually adhered to that, probably 90% of tip-ins would be in violation. Other parts of the rule talk about whether a ball might go in on its own. You could argue that Harden's "lob" was actually a shot. However, those parts of the rule don't directly connect to part b.

TL;DR: It was probably what we'd traditionally consider "offensive goaltending," but the League's not real specific about what is and isn't.

I'm usually hard on him. But tonight he was simply amazing and it showed on the scoreboard. I hope he continues this trend

I am happy with Rockets winning, happier with Jazz losing, happiest with Jazz fans having to watch their team lose.

That defense is inflated they are hot because their schedule was absolute trash after the ASB. A keen eye would see that the math doesn't work for Utah. Gobert is ass against the Rockets. Forget about the stat line, Gobert cannot play Harden. Utah doesn't have enough shooters. No one can guard Harden on the team. The only match up problem is Favors. Utah has a real problem with TO's against the Rockets.

People thinking this was going to be the match up to watch needs to think again.

EG, House and River's defense on Mitchell was great. Hope they keep it up!
