Hey everyone. Hope you're doing well. I recently discovered that LeBron James no longer has a no-trade clause in his contract. Now LeBron may have spurned us in free-agency but this means that we could potentially force him to play for us. And he'd have to do it! Imagine how exciting it would be to have a team of LBJ, Harden, CP3, and Capela. Furthermore, with the disaster of a season the Lakers are having it shouldn't take too much to get the King. Probably a few young players and some picks. What do you guys think?
He can **** off. Hope he rots and retires a Laker. At least he has his family in LA to comfort him lulz...
Thanks for asking how I'm doing OP. The day is going just OK but I'm happy to see another day. How are you doing?
I think this: ...and i'm pretty sure we don't have the salaries to match his contract in a trade (at least this summer) unless we trade Gordon and Capela so, yeah. Trade for Jimmy Butler instead, if he wants to be here like it seems (to me at least), i'd take him over Lebron at this point, would cost less assets and money, he's younger, from the Houston area, would fit well with his buddy MVP... Spoiler Even though i admit i would still consider a trade for Lebron if Butler will not be an option this summer...it's cool to say "i wouldn't" now, but reality is you add Lebron to Harden, Paul and you have by far the best big 3 ever. Even though, if you have to lose Capela and Gordon eh, i don't know if it's worth it, maybe not.
Don't think it's realistic unless we were to package Capela and Gordon in a trade. Or straight CP3 which lakers won't want to do. I'm against packaging Capela. By the end of this season LBJ and CP3 will be 34. They will both regress to the end of their contracts when they would be 37 and making like 90 mill combined. If I were to guess LBJ will be a top 10 player next year top 20 the year after top 30 in his last year. CP3 top 20 next year. top 30 year after. Top 50 last year. So next year we compete. But the last 2 years will be tough.
We already have a king his name is James harden. Lebron retired from his throne a while back and has taken the role of court jester
Forcing LeBron to play for us? It's always a circus for the teams that LeBron WANTS to play for. I can only imagine what it would be like if we were forcing him to play here.
